Agreed. Another suggestions is to incorperate co-op elements but make it possible to do some stuff by yourself of course.
Delicious

A lot of people who join my Kodia servers tell me how I'm "Epic" at the sort of thing, so I guess I'll lend a few tips over.

-Co-op is all ways nice, but don't make it to where "ever one is happy" because then one guy does all the work while others follow.

-Add more depth to the basic, cut a tree. sell it. 5 gold. buy a sword.
EX: In Kodia, new beginnings you would chop down the type of tree, lets say the Yew, and once after that you will have to find the single "Yew Cabin" to which you can carve your single log in to 3 Yew planks. But also to add more depth to that, a Nice way to get the Exp For a Log you would have to make a choice to hand it over to the saw mill (with only Exp in return), or make it to planks and sell with no EXP given.

-Try not to use what I call (Land Walls). Which is basically using walls to surround your RPG, try to make it so you can go any where, as long as your skills are allowing you to.

-Get this strait, Medieval means knights, and kings, and wars between lords and such. and Fantasy is Orcs, and some trolls, and some magic crap. Make sure you know what your REALLY out to model your RPG as.

-I'll add more tomorrow, for now I GTG to bed.

Thanks, those are great pointers.

I just love getting suggestions  :cookieMonster:

Make an original system

Seriously, the idea of clicking bricks until they fall apart is starting to rust. Go get a brand new system like: "Slap 5 Hysterical Whores in the spout with your spatulintic renalotogue to regain superiority".

Realistic NPCs

Nobody in reality is going to ask you: "Hey Stranger, go mine me 5 gold because I'm too weak to do it.". Maybe add a response system, or just make the NPC go "forget off" or something like that. Make those NPCs have a personality, make them pricks or Deoxy99s.

Think of an original plot

whats retrocheck?
I don't like making things complicated so yes how can I get and use retrocheck.

Exactly what we are doing minus the vulgarity

pvp is fun some arenas for tournaments sometimes good :)

New point of discussion: My plot

I want this RPG to be a big adventure RPG where you may explore many diverse areas, but I think it should also have some plot to it. I was thinking something where Past and Future collide in a medieval setting. What do you all think?

"I'M FROM THE FUTURE"
"I'M FROM THE PAST"
spongebob musical ftw

I think what you need to do is find a way to make the rpg really fun but have a low amount of areas. Otherwise you just run out of bricks.

Impossible :C.

Me and Elphie probably will hit brickcount before finishing :C.

Ya, I wish. My RPG is basically gonna be called "Exploration RPG", and I need quite a few areas.

How about a big island with a moutain in the middle running down that is big. It splits the land to two countries. One land is a very peaceful and happy country while the other has slavery and all those mean things. You start somewhere in the happy area and begin your adventure!

That's a good idea, but it doesn't really fit here with the type of RPG I want. Thanks, though.

Another thing you should do is allow your players to choose who they want to be. Wanna be an Orc and raid the Human/Dwarf/Elven Village/Mine/Tree? Go for it. Also, the races should have at least one unique class. I'm going to let the Dwarves mine, the elves thieve, and the Humans fight. The races should also have different sizes, and those sizes should be different for each person.
