Not that bad... But back on topic:

New point of discussion: My plot

I want this RPG to be a big adventure RPG where you may explore many diverse areas, but I think it should also have some plot to it. I was thinking something where Past and Future collide in a medieval setting, but I am not good at building futuristic stuff, and I don't wanna rely on others everytime I want a futuristic thing built... What do you all think?

You should make it so that what players do has effects on other players like ocassionally you update and add new quests with one time items maybe and make it so that bridge stays there so that players have a big impact on the game

Quests, Of course, but not just a main storyline quest.
Sub-Quest. Quests that are kind of off to the side that you get by talking to the NPCs in the town. Not that big of a reward, but good for grinding for money/experience (If you have that in your RPG).

I really like this idea, but there is one problem with this. Will it reset with the server? I mean, I can only make so many new areas, and once they are all discovered/opened up to the public, then people will feel like they can't impact the game anymore.

Definitely. I am planning on adding many, many NPC's with various quests.

Quests and rewards that are only available once you complete the main questline.

You do realize that guests can go to any topic, right?
Also, there are idiots on the forums, too.
I found one

Quests and rewards that are only available once you complete the main questline.
I'm starting to debate whether or not I should have a main questline.

HOW DO YOU MAKE ONE? The events idk what mod they are. and how the eventing would work.

Complete it. Leveling systems that aren't too hard but provide a couple of hours of time to complete are good.
Combat is also a main factor. Don't plan it out first (mapwise) build from place to place, never leave everything 20% finished, get 3 things 100% finished. Reset all levels after completion, then host.

I've never played a successful RPG, all of them are just servers where you go do a stuffon of fetch quest and to get a new weapon or some bullstuff.

Long ago, before Retail BL came out, I was making an Medieval RPG for the server because of lack of MMO-feel to the game. I built castles, regions to explore, plenty of towns, and had a system where you can buy your own property or land, buying items/weapons/etc. to help defend your territory if you're part of a Guild, and much more.

Good RPG's have content that keep the players wanting more. What do you have besides just quests and items that CANNOT be found in other servers?

Also, try crafting some dungeons and puzzles, that would keep some people as well.

EDIT: Found images of old build -

(A Farm for sale)

(A WIP that was discontinued after I left Vanilla BL; This was made by a good friend)

(Inside the town)

(Town overview)

(Castle of Hokuten Guild)

(Overview 2)

(Me visiting local church)

(Smithy)

(You know...)

Wasn't expecting this to be bumped :o

Well I guess I could give a sneak peak of what's been worked on. This is going to be 90% scripted and will be very complicated, not just some go fetch and sell rpg. Here are sneak previews: ;D
