Battlefield 2 High Ping?

I keep getting kicked for having a high average ping, when I can run other internet games fine. Is there anything to fix this?

i use to have high ping for no reason on bf2 (no other game.) i disabled the windows firewall and it fixed the problem.
it was unreal how simple yet pointless a problem it was

it always gave me ping or punkbuster kick errors

My window's firewall is off.
My Norton is on.
My window's Defender is on.

If you got it through steam, either disable in-game community or join games without punkbuster.

I think I fixed it, someone in game told me to turn off other internet programs, I turned off bit torrent and my ping went from 200 to 55. What do you mean by disable in game community?
Also:
I was kiciked for blocked program or something.

Disallowed program or driver. All I have that could make me think of that would be:
My flash drive is in
Steam is on
Norton is on.

No, though I doubt that is the blocked program.

It never occurred to you that BitTorrent would bog down your internet?

Having 2 antimalware programs causing ineffecicentcy. I suggest keeping the one you like best and unistalling the one that is not as good. As for the high ping I suggest turning off Norton. You will get better performance.
