Captain Forever, the game where you are a lonely pilot in a pod flying along in space when an unidentified sector wide explosion interupts your plans. A nice "info buoy" brings you emergency relief parts that are
- 4 Girder alpha
- 2 booster alpha
- and 2 laser alpha
BTW: Alpha is the lowest level of parts and only has small girders, the stronger a part is is determined by how high it is on the english alphabet.
You are probably asking "Why do we need lasers?" Well, the other pilots have resorted to piracy and are trying to blast you to molecules, but you don't need to fight
everyone you see.
There is a "Law" meter at the top of the screen that determines the level and amount of Law enforcement you can see. They won't attack you unless you attack them, and bumping into them is attacking as far as they are concerned.
Warning: The police are usually better armed than the other pilots, so be prepared.The info buoy also tells you what level of pilots are attacking.
The best part, any piece of a ship you don't trash can be added or taken away on the fly, sort of like Battleships Forever, except there isn't any pausing for building.
When you die (Trust me, you will) you can get a link to USE YOUR SHIP AGAIN at the start of the game, or give it to someone else.
Parts also have weights, and if you have 10 girders and no thrusters don't expect to get anywhere fast.
There are more than 1 type of laser, so far I found 2.Prismatic, fires 3 lasers at once in a cone, and normal that fires 1 laser straight.
The higher level of laser adds resistance, damage, and range.
