I think for my upcoming city I'm going to just go off of the default terrain. The one in the tutorials. It's really well done, IMO.

anyone know any mods that allow building bus stations on roads?
and allows building raised rail and monorail over roads?

the mod i found was confusing as stuff to setup. and i got all sorts of ingame model issues.
