Apparently Microsoft's on demand service isn't doing to well, so to promote it and get more people to use it they're doing sales every week until March 20-something-th. This week it's Batman: Arkham Asylum for $12.50

If you have a computer that can handle it and haven't already got it, I suggest you pick it up during this sale. It's a damn fine game.

Anyway, please no saying "ew games for windows live on demand" or "this sucks wtf why not steam". They're practically the same goddamn thing, so don't bother saying you don't like Microsoft's service unless you can do so without saying it sucks, 'Mmkay? :>

But will you keep the game forever once you buy it?

Yeah, it'll be attached to the gamertag you bought it with.

Price is now officially $12.50 for Batman: Arkham Asylum on games for windows live on demand.

It's downloading right now for me. The only thing I don't like is how it has to download, then you have to run the installer. I'm used to steam where it downloads and installs all in one, but it's just a smal inconvenience for me.

it takes twice as long

Do you keep ANYTHING forever?

No, not really. Why do you say that?
it takes a while to DL and a while to install.

it takes a while to DL and a while to install.
Yes, but so does steam. The only difference is that steam does all of that automatically without needing the click an "install" button after it's done downloading.

And steam is much better in general.  GFWL crashes my internet whenever I try to start it.  It uses an annoying system for buying things.  It is also sometimes redundant when running a game with it on steam.

God damn this is slow :<

On top of that, it resets the installation whenever there's not enough space
