He's loling at the fact that 2.5 multiplied by four doesn't mean a quad core is 10 GHz.
Ohlol. So if I got the 2.9Ghz Tricore(?) then it would just be 2.9Ghz?

I'm not sure, but it appears to be so? Haha
I'm going to go ahead and guess that each core totals up to a certain amount of the processing power?

It would just be three cores at 2.9 GHz.

Most people seem to use the Antec case. There are tons of reviews for it on Newegg.

I was thinking of getting this one, but then the employee guy suggested that one because most people were getting it. I am getting it in silver though.

Here's that other one:

No more tool

The build you posted was completely uneven so I figure that you don't know what you're doing.

If it helps, I could throw together a parts list that actually makes sense.

And the p-180 isn't very good for performance, it's mainly for users who prefer quiet computers.

It also seems that the employee is misleading you into buying more expensive parts that you wouldn't need.

I am almost angered that you didn't take my advice.

I recommended what would be the best for you, I know what I'm talking about.

Ok, show me the list of preferably most of the same brands. Also Bump for the night.

I'm at a friends house right now.

When I get home I could try to post a parts list. Your budget is 1k right?

You're a tool.

Liam Wolff, you're a friend, 8GB is not useless. when you're on a 1k budget I'd say go AMD instead of intel, intel is expensive.
and the P-180 is NOT quiet, my sister has it. It's actually a pretty cool case. Small but it's a nice case.

$800-$1000

Now I am confused.

Sort of looks like the computer Kilplix has.

Taking the situation into account it was pretty useless. In what situation would you need that much RAM with some of the lesser parts.

And by everything I've heard, the p-180 is quiet. Sorry I don't own one.

And as for the intel stuff, with a 750 you would have room for expansion. With AMD the fastest processor out right now isn't even up to par with the i5. It's worth the extra $20 and you could get an i7 in the future.

So, all the other stuff is fine, it's just the Processor that we are discussing?

Personally, I am already above the limit:

LCD Fan Controller $35.99
Antec 750w Power Supply $119.99
Antec Mid Tower Case $99.99
Gigabyte GA-MA 785 GMT-UD2 Motherboard $89.99
ATI Radeon HD 5770 $199.99
AMD Athlon II x3 435 $79.99
DDR3 RAM 8Gb $124.99
Hitachi 1Tb SATA 3.5" $69.99

And the TV/Monitor I was getting (Forgot the brand) was $209.99

Total: $1,031

So any way I can get this price down to under 1,000 while still maintaining a powerful computer that can run Blockland with several 10s of thousands of bricks then that'd be great.

(Yeah, you don't want to cheap out on a processor and you chose quite a bit of RAM)

Without the monitor and HDD that's something like $830. If you want to save more money you could use more combos.
