I think the government should not be allowed to consider anyone married, the government should just be allowed to acknowledge a couple as being "partners" like how they acknowledge gay couples, for tax purposes and all that, and if they wanna go have a wedding and consider themselves married that is up to them.

i looked up cult to make sure i was right, depending on the precentage of christians/religious dudes in america.

No, just no. For Atheism to be a cult, there would have to be kinds of hierarchical structure, or at least something similar. Or maybe even gatherings, or order involved. Atheism is just people that don't believe in religion. No more, no less.
