I'm going to rage in the loving cage if Avatar wins best picture. That would be absolute bullstuff.

Discuss the upcoming Oscars.

How would it be absolute bullstuff if Avatar wins a best picture?

There is a %99 chance that it will.

Hopefully, %1 will happen.

Avatar was awesome. You are all just those movie Emo's who hate everything that's good.

Today's movies are just stuffty plots mashed up with special effects.

Avatar will win. How stupid do you have to be to think it won't?

Pocahontas with blue cat people.
Woooooo.

And a giant red chicken.

I'm not stupid. I haven't seen avatar, but it can't be as good as everyone says it is.

Think of it like this: Popular opinion on creative channels such as TV, movies, and music is usually the exact opposite of what is good nowadays.

Inglorious Basterds was a wonderful movie. It had great artistic direction, great story writing and great acting. Avatar had a stuffty plot covered up by 3D, special effects and James Cameron.

The plot was great, the 3D amde it even better, and what's wrong with James?

A "good" movie nowadays is defined by how pretty the special effects are because all the morons in this country with double digit I.Q.s don't understand the concept of having to think when they watch a movie.

The plot was recycled from Pocahontas. From reading Avatar's plot summary on Wikipedia, I summarize it here:

The military wants to mine the planet of blue people. A soldier of the military is sent onto the world to start mining, but gets separated from his peeps and is brought into the tribe of the people on the planet. The military commander tells the soldier to betray them, but he says "nofu" and doesn't.

Plot of Pocahontas:

England wants to find gold in the new world. Some sailors get sent over. One of the sailors befriend one of the native americans and she teaches him how to be more in touch with the world. Later on, the native american tribe wants to excecute that same sailor, but pocahontas saves him.

hmm.

I didn't see Avatar but i know i'll find it stuffty and boring probably because its not my type >:( I just hate it

Avatar won five stars for every rating, only the best films win it. And it looks like it will.
