Whenever I open Steam, a cmd shell shows up on my desktop for about a second and then disappears. Help?

Try opening Steam directly from the Program Files folder.

 you won't have to reinstall them it just reinstalls the client if you didn't uninstall the games they'll still be there

Delete everything in your steam folder BUT steamapps and steam.exe
run steam.exe and it will autoupdate

I think the problem is steam.exe itself.

If it is then you're forgeted, move steamapps out of the steam folder and uninstall steam. when its reinstalled stick steamapps back in there.
