I don't understand your point.

We already got a bunch of good common weps, so we don't need any new ones that relate to the same thing, like something that stands out, like an flak cannon that shoots shells and explode next to an enemy. So it'll actually be effective. Or, a realistic gun that exists, not a simple common one.
