I mean sludge bomb is cheap.

poison is useless offensively

poison is useless offensively

My Seviper says otherwise.

It's good defensively but plenty of grass types are also poison type, nullifying the 2x damage. And if you want to poison something just toxic that bitch instead of assbutting around with poison sting/fang/jab

Those moves are actually good damage-dealing moves. Also, i'll post a screenshot of my Seviper's stats soon.

get a dualtype poison and get some moves with decent super effective powers

crobat also avoids the ground type weakness which is good but then you've got all of flyings weaknesses.

nidoking/queen is good too but probably not as good

I don't really like using stat boosting moves... Maybe I should replace it with a dark move to counter it's psychic weakness?

You need to have confidence in stat boosting moves. One SD and the rest of your attacks do 200% damage. If you can fit one more in then they're all 300%. +50% per level, and you can go up to 6 (SD raises it by 2; "sharply").

Also get rid of thunder punch and use sludge bomb.

Use Poison Jab if anything; Sludge Bomb is a special attack. But poison has bad coverage.

Hoppip was a pain to level up, it only had Splash and Synthesis when i got it at level 6, i had to switch it out every battle, at level 7 or 8, it learned Tail Whip, but finally at level 10, it learned Tackle, i am now proud to hear "HOPPIP used TACKLE!"
