I'm going to love having an Electric type for my ubers* team, unless it has poor special attack. A 100% accuracy STABed Thunder in the rain does massive damage, and since it's a legendary, it'll probably have more special attack than Jolteon.

* Ubers are different than legendaries; in competitive battling (sounds a bit silly), there is a set of tiers that divide up Pokemon based on how well they can perform in the metagame. For example, Articuno is a legendary, but it pretty much sucks. Especially since it takes 50% damage from Stealth Rock. On the other hand, Kyogre is a massive special attacker and gets Water Spout, making it too powerful for fair play. If it was allowed, pretty much every team would dedicated two Pokemon to being Kyogre and being a Kyogre counter.

I use to be a battle enthusiast. I had about 15 level 80-100s that were mid uber - uber. However, I lost them because I wiped my pearl save without thinking. Now I'm just training my party slowly (which is full of some really strong pokemon) and breeding rare pokemon more. It's almost more fun to collect then to train. Besides, it's as simple as getting a pokemon to level 50 to fight online now.
