No, everyone knows musical taste is an opinion, there's no need to say "IN MY OPINION". Otherwise, every post I make would begin with "IN MY OPINION...". Stop being such a handicap and comprehend that not everyone likes the same stuff, and most people hate specific stuff. Way to rage over someone airing their opinion of someone/something on a public forum. So, let me elaborate:
The people who listen to Sonata Arctica are usually pretentious richardwads that wear trip pants, dye their hair black, and think black humor is HILARIOUS. They are generally antisocial outside of their support group and extraordinarily annoying.
As a musical style, Sonata Arctica is Gothic-orchestra-metal. It's an extremely annoying blend of synthesized instruments, a very loud female vocalist, your run-of-the-mill metal distortion guitar, and part of an orchestra (if that, it's usually pre-recorded). IN MY OPINION it's bad music and those who listen to it are just as annoying as the band itself.

There's my opinion in full. Yes, I can personally dislike someone for their musical taste. Get over it.
