I can modify a script to make it work in-game.

Your idea of "modify" is pretty flawed.
First of all, when you modify something, it means you change an already working object/whatever to do something else/look different, not make a non-working object/whatever work. That would be fixing, good sir.
You should really think about the facts before you start calling yourself something you're not or trying to do something you know you can't.
