Author Topic: Activision is simply an evil company.  (Read 1807 times)

First off, let's meet Bobby "Riddler" Kotick, the CEO of Activision:

Games that have the potential to be exploited every year on every platform with clear sequel potential and have the potential to become $100 million franchises has worked very well for Activision Blizzard

If it was left to me, I would raise the prices even further

We have a real culture of thrift. The goal that I had in bringing a lot of the packaged goods folks into Activision about 10 years ago was to take all the fun out of making video games.

Later on he said he tries to promote an atmosphere of "skepticism, pessimism, and fear" in his company and, "We are very good at keeping people focused on the deep depression."

Essentially, this starfish's entire business plan and probably life philosophy is to exploit gamers and the gaming industry for every penny it's got. Kotick here is probably Satan, but I don't have proof. Yet.

Recently, this stuffstorm arose:

$15 for the MW2 Map Pack. Activision caused the price raise.

Basically, IW is Activision's bitch. IW employees really can't do what they want or have much of any say in anything that goes on with the games they're developing. People are even afraid to quit because they are threatened with not getting paid royalties they're owed.

And then there's the whole thing with the lawsuit from the two former IW employees who are suing Activision and everything there.

but once it is released on the PS3 and PC, don't expect there to be any price reduction!

Greedy loving Activision trying to exploit us, yet again.

In response to this big bucket of horse stuff, I am encouraging a multinational boycott of the DLC. Activision can eat stuff. They should not do this to their market, this is downright unethical and borderline pure evil.

Also, no, this is not the first and only example of their greediness, nor am I butthurt over a map pack (I don't typically buy them anyway). This is just the most recent atrocity they've tried to pull off.

If your soul was made of money, he'd kill you personally.

I'd like to brush his teeth with a baseball bat.

That wouldn't get them very clean.

The non-Blizzard part of Activision is also the non-cool part.

Cry more, $15 bucks is chump change and Call of Duty is a horrible game.

$15 for five maps.
Your opinion of CoD is irrelevant. Would you pay $15 for 5 maps for any game?
Also fyi 2 of them are CoD4 maps and 3 are probably ripped from singleplayer anyway.

The non-Blizzard part of Activision is also the non-cool part.

Double negatives made this really confusing :c

Didn't two guys at IW leave?

The two CEO of IW left and had to undergo a vicious lawsuit battle with Activision, yes.

Hey guys, guess what.

Companies don't care about us, just our money.
