Author Topic: Drawing program either browser or free  (Read 2130 times)

Something I can draw with.

I want to draw a picture of myself as a barbarian, I'm a mac so I can't get ms paint. Photoshop costs money and I don't have money because I don't have a job.

If possible, if you could give me a link to a browser program where you can sketch in color and stuff and save it to your desktop, that would be nice.

I suddenly have an incredibly creative flow of energy and I must do something with it or it will go to waste.

I need one too  :cookieMonster:
I was like, OMFG POST, MUST HAVE LINK.

Then I saw this and my happiness died like a cat that has been cut in half lengthwise.

I'd recommend GIMP, but with so many conditions to follow, I'm not entirely sure it's best. However, it's worked for me in the past.

That looks sweet.

WAIT,

What conditions?

A great free drawing and painting program.

MyPaint is also cool. Some of the paint effects are amazing for a free program, and the pencil looks real.

Edit: Lol, you're on a Mac. Oh well, you can still run Windows programs though Darwin and Wine.

I misread the opening text. Go ahead and give it a whirl, though. Works like a woma- just as well as Photoshop does.

This disk image takes a long time to download.

Why is it a paint program has so much stuff.

Aren't programs just like text?

Just because programs are mainly text doesn't mean that they aren't going to be large. I'm sure that GIMP is a code monster. Your internet probably isn't helping you out too much either ;)

GIMP works well. I use it a lot. Though it tends to hate OSs other then Linux, esp. Macs.

paint.net
Paint.net is a reasonably good program, but if you want more you'd have to go with GIMP. Plus if you don't have everything needed by Paint.net installed, you can add quite a length of time onto your installation.
