Author Topic: PC vs MAC the final showdown. (I think the war's over)  (Read 30021 times)

I wonder if there is such a thing as a "Non-Biased Mac vs. PC review"

Doubt it.

Either way, they have their ups and downs. I use a Mac because I've used Windows for a long time and I don't like it's user-interface. I can operate a Mac a lot faster than I can a Windows machine, and therefore I like it. I've never gone "Damn, I wish I had a PC so I could run ___" except a few times, and now I never even do that thanks to VMWare Fusion. Does it cost extra to get that? Of course. Do I think it's worth it? Every penny.

There are actually several Mac Anti-Viruses for the few viruses we do have. Many popular Windows anti-viruses have got a Mac counterpart (Kaspersky, Norton, etc.). I don't own any because I've never had a virus, and my dad's only had one which was on his PowerPC. If I did get a virus, however, getting rid of it would be the same endeavor as doing so on a Windows machine.

I don't appreciate it how many Windows users feel the need to stuff all over Macs and vice versa. I use what makes me happy, and everybody else is welcome to do the same. If I didn't like my Mac, I wouldn't use it.

I've only met one person who has used both MacOSX and Windows, and said he has no preference between the two. Everybody else who's used both for an extended period of time likes MacOSX a bit more. I'm willing to bet there are very few people who have used both for an extended period of time like I have. You're just basing your opinions entirely on what other people say, which I think is rather ridiculous :I

Macs are neglected by the card manufactures, so they generally have outdated drivers D:

I use Mac for the general user experience. When I'm using Mac, it feels like I'm using something solid. I duel-boot into windows if I need to play a game thats only available for Windows, but when I use windows I feel like I'm using and old, falling apart car. It just doesn't feel as smooth to navigate in, and it seems like it freezes up so much.

Yes.

Wait, so mac uses icon coding? Because your statement didn't make much sense to me.

Well, now if you click on an icon it'll take you to the application.

You bumped this for that useless reply?

The Mac is a good OS, not a terrible one, however I usually frown when I hear a Mac fanboy claiming that the PC is complete stuff because of 2-7 (possibly minor) errors that they encounter with the PC.

Especially if they can do most of the same thing.

Like I said, it was probably a virus. And said virus would not have happened if the computer was a Mac. There are, what, ten billion known viruses for a PC? And three for a Mac? Maybe you should consider that your "Godly PC" is really just a horrific jumble of wires.
That's the thing about macs. They can't even get negative attention.

Well, now if you click on an icon it'll take you to the application.
Holy stuff, really? Damn, it's not like Windows doesn't have that. Shucks, I'm going to buy a Mac now.

There is no way to compare two different OS's that do practically none of the same stuff.
Why would I get mac if I wanted to use FL?
Why would I get windows if I wanted to use Garageband?
I WOULDN'T. I am sick of this Mac VS PC bullstuff. It makes no sense.

The only reason people seem to think Macs are better than PCs are the gullible idiots that don't know anything about computers. They think the "Mac vs. PC" commercials are funny or something, so they believe every word of it.

Are people arguing Windows vs. Mac or Computers vs Mac?

Because i'm pretty sure they are 2 completely different things

Macs have transcended the realm of personal computing.

When was the last time you used a Mac for an extended period of time.

He didn't say that Macs were terrible.
