You may download a free version, but the full game costs $10.00 dollars.
This is actually a great time waster in my opinion.
Multiplayer can have up to eight players at once.

We all know don't truly know this game, but this is a build-your-own-ant colony game.  This includes Leaf Cutter ants, Gliding ants, Slave-Maker ants, and Termites.

In the campaign, there may be all sorts of goals, but in multi-player-- yes, there IS multi-player on the free version-- it is a straight-up skirmish.  Grow your colony and eliminate the opposing colony.
NOTE: You cannot host LAN games with the free version, but you can still create online servers.

STANDARD NESTS:
 Chamber
This is your main building, which allows only ants of your colony to safely pass above and below ground.  Enemy ants can destroy this building to gain access to your colony.  This is the only way to get your Queen underground.
 Silo
This stores all of the food your Workers have gathered.  Create more Silos to store more food.
 Hatchery
This is the only way your colony can grow.  You need a worker to tend to the Queen.  Each Hatchery can only grow 5 eggs at a time, yet you can have as many Hatcheries as you could want.
 Bunker
Your ants may heal inside this.  During an attack, the bunkers will dispatch soldiers automatically.  As an advantage, when ants exit a Bunker to attack (This only works if they are dispatched automatically) they have a greater defense than before.  Any workers inside the Bunkers may repair them if they are damaged.  The Queen heals quickly if she is in a Bunker.

TYPES OF ANTS:
 Gliding Ants
  Ants
Worker - Can gather food and tend to the Queen.  It's special ability is to be able to glide from treetops onto enemies with a 15% chance of injury and 15% chance of death.  Also has thorns on it's body, so if any enemy ant bites it, they get hurt.
Soldier - Deals below average blows, but is stronger in defense than a standard soldier.  Can glide exactly the same way as a Worker.  They also have much more powerful thorns than the worker.
Can only create the standard nests.

 Leaf-Cutter Ants
  Ants
Minim - A special worker class that cannot fend for itself, though it's main purpose is to tend to Fungus Gardens (See Fungus Gardens)
Mediae - More powerful than the Minim, but cannot tend to Fungus Gardens.
Minor Soldier - Standard workers, except when idle, they pair up with nearby workers both to protect them and gain a small defensive upgrade.
Major Soldier - These supersoldiers can murder most enemies with a single bite, but with a slow attack because of their huge jaws.
  Special Nests
Fungus Garden - Can be used as a Silo, though the main purpose is a bonus food supply on each food piece brought in to the colony.  Getting Minims to tend to these gets from a range of an original 10% bonus to a huge 50% bonus, making the Leaf-Cutter Ants the most economic colony.  A sidenote:  The bonuses do NOT stack.  The only reason to build two is that if one Fungus Garden is destroyed, the other still remains.
Waste Chamber - These increase food capacity, but ONLY if there is a Fungus Garden built.

 SlaveMaker Ants
  Ants
Queen - Sure, sure, Queens are supposed to sit the fights out, but SlaveMaker Queens don't mess around.  By killing the enemy Queen, she is able to take control of the entire enemy nest.  Not only that, but she is a fierce fighter.
Scout - The Worker has been replaced by the Scout, to seek out slave victims.  It has a higher speed but less damage.  Despite that fact, it's useful in taking down structures.
Soldier - This guy is used for fighting, but can work poorly.  You need to steal some Workers to help that out - and stealing is this Soldier's specialty.  This Soldier may also take food from ant carcasses to put in the Silos.
 Can only create standard nests.

 Termites
  Ants
Worker - A normal Worker, except that it rushes through gathering food, so the colony needs to expand.
   Soldier - A standard Soldier.
Tunnel Guard - A strong fighter on the first or second line of defense.  It is not offensive, as it cannot fend for itself at life and must stay inside the dirt area.  (where you may build your structures)
Elite Tunnel Guard - A completely powerful enemy that can murder everything in one bite, although it is only restricted underground.  An exception to this is when it is near a structure that has just been destroyed, it may crawl out of the rubble to sacrifice itself in an effort to fight off the enemies.
Anate - When the king or queen dies, the Anate grows into one of those two vital types.  The only downside to this is that it cannot fight well and costs a fortune, but is extremely fast.
King - Without the King nearby, the Queen cannot lay eggs.
Queen - the weakest and slowest Queen in the game.  Needs the King to lay eggs.
  Special Nests
Watch Tower - Works like a chamber, except when built it shows a large portion of the map.  Useful for spotting attacks.
