Oh so those were actually dae models and not interiors? I that would explain that hole you've got in the platform too.
Yep. They're all dae models I put together in milkshape (which I'm still new to).

I plan to go back and make them... more interesting.

However; the bridges and ramps are sketch objects which can be created in the mission editor and are basically rectangular prisms you can resize and map materials to. There's some other functionality with it but I haven't experimented much.

Also: the texture on that hole rotates. It's sort of cool.

Yep, grid's gone.
stuff... I was about to go make a map too. Is the EP:1 or Orange Box engine better?

Episode 1 engine and HL2 still work.

Gah forget it's so damn hard for me to map since I got Blender shortcuts hardwired into my head.

I made the normals and detail maps appear from further distances on the terrain.

And, new structures on the other side of the island.

One team will start on this end, and the other will start at the end I showed earlier.

The water is beautiful

I'm quite happy with the water. Here's some more good shots.

I map for a game probably none of you have heard of called Tibia. It's pretty fun.

Heres a project I've been working on today:

It's an entrance to a town. Omnomnom.

So I started working on a house that I had an idea for but it turned out to really lame and weirdly proportioned so I abandoned it.

That's the spirit!

I snipped it because it wasn't a particularly good shot, but it was a shot.

 Hammer question.

When mapping and playing with sound, can I replace the wind fx with another loop? For example a song from an old game: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X2pumFB-QUw

I'm planning on remaking the Sky kingdom from Gauntlet Dark Legacy.

Soundscape is my guess, I'll search.

I guess valve uses ai_generic, I dunno if you can loop it, I haven't used hammer in a while, thanks to valve.
