Author Topic: Why are older drivers so stupid- Pedestrian vs. Automobile accident  (Read 2145 times)

I'm not a SLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW typer, It's just I read the whole thing in detail first.
Then take option number two.
No one gives a stuff if someone posted while you were reading/typing. It's annoying to see some dumbass post that on every other page.

how fast was that forgeter going

Probably very fast, like 70 miles.

Not exactly sure on the speed. But notice their are no skid marks or anything around the car. It doesn't appear he made a gigantic effort to stop.

I almost got hit by an old lady in the parking lot where I work.  She came within 2 inches of hitting some carts I was pushing and showed no sign that she even knew I was there.  She didn't slow down or turn to get past me with more room at all.

You shouldn't be able to have a license anywhere near the age of 85.
I disagree

We were watching a movie about Drinking and Driving.

And the Main Character (Her friend died in the car with her in a car accident) was driving and some stupid little kid on a bike decided to cross the street. He did not look both ways first.

Main Character almost hit the kid
Kid was angry.

I raged on the inside

you have to remember. everyone over the age of 60 had to just go to JC penny's and pay $1.50 to get a picture taken. they then sent you a drivers license for simply signing your name.

obviously it dont work that way anymore
but renewing it since required no new testing.

Shouldn't it be based on a person's ability to be aware of what is going on around them?  I'm pretty sure that such a thing is crucial to the safety of both the driver and the people around him.

It seems that common sense and accountability are quite lacking in this country.

Standards keep people safe.  It's a wonder that no one is pushing for laws about it.
