Did you know its incredibly hard to light a road flare without the sparker that comes with it?

haha, which reminds me, last year in we visited Alaska, and the car we rented broke down (ran out of gas, even though it said "FULL")

So my dad couldn't get the safety flare started, for hours (he was trying to bang the end)

Then we realized that it came with a pack of starkers to light it with.

Also, do this:
1. Get an old headset like this, cut off the bendy mic wire thing, and pull out the mic (so it leaves an empty socket).
2. Attach this to a front of a Super Soaker and bend it upwards, so it's in front of where water comes out.
3. Cut about 3/4 of a match off, so you have the very end. Put this into the empty socket of the mic.
4. Fill the Super Soaker with car washing fluid (I've found that car washing fluid works really well for an aimed flame).
5. Light the match.
6. Squeeze the trigger.
7. ???
8. Profit. And perhaps a burnt down house.

Yup, dispite being flammable, taking a match or a lighter flame to it won't light it. It actually takes a blow torch to start it back up if you don't have a striker pack.
