They don't because they assume computers to just be for myspace, aim, facebook, etc. They think it's a ''nerds toy'' even though a vast majority of work in modern day facilities revolve around the use of computers...

I typed like 2 paragraphs in computer class in like 5 minutes and everyone wasnt even done with half of the first one :s

The entire class whines and cries whenever we have to do anything near one page in typing because they all type at sub-normal human speeds. Some of them seriously take awful care of the laptops our school issues us. They just drop it and expect it to keep working. Hell they download a bunch of stuff off the internet and wonder why they have viruses. I swear sometimes the kids in my school suck at taking care of their laptops.

Oh and they all whine about how the laptops can't play Halo 1 or NFS HP2 properly, and then spew stuff about how consoles are better even when not portable.

Won't the school eventually stop issuing laptops due tp kids treating them like a piece of paper?
