Is building a computer hard? I'm sorry, but I guess I've just not been able to run games very well for so long that now that I'm making that happen, I feel like something is going to go wrong and I still won't be able to do it, no matter how hard I try.

So basically my question is this; if I take the proper precautions and check parts compatibilities beforehand and all that jazz, do I have a good chance of getting this thing put together right?

My mobo had slots for my cases fans I didn't need to plug them into the PSU.

Never heard of that. Just wear a grounding bracelet or touch a part of the case always while handling everything. Be careful with the CPU, it's very delicate.
