Author Topic: Readable Books!  (Read 2427 times)

It would be great to get a prop on blockland thats a book but the owner of the brick (book) gets to modify whats inside it! And when you activate (click it) it pops up a little kind of client with what you wanted them to read! Please DO NOT flame and tell me if you can make it!!!

Bobblehat-

Can't this be done with events?

It could be evented, but I think he may want a GUI with book pages n stuff.

Okay, well GUI's are client sided, when means only those who have downloaded the mod can read the books.

If you can think of a non-GUI way, then it could be done.

can't we force the players who connect to the server to download the gui from the server?
If yes:
-we will need a book brick
-we will need an event to change the "text-variable" of to book
-we will need an event to open the gui
-we will need a gui that displays the "text-variable" of the brick

Could be done easily if we can let the players download the gui

Months ago, I tried to join Ibans city, and I couldn't join because it said "This server requires the Ibansblablablmod to work", or something like that.

BUMP
A 30 minute bump, really?

Also, I've kinda wanted this for a while.

Yes if someone could make it it would be great i would give all credit to you because well you would have to have credit cause you made it

I think he means that no one wants to read in a game, in which I highly disagree, it can easily be useful in a rpg, which explains the basics.
