UI edit Dumping area

Although allocating everything in one place helps when it comes to sifting through the add-on section, there eventually will be a point in time when the UI topic will become so bogged down that it will take forever to find anything in it. If you place something outside of the topic, then it will receive its share of attention for as long as people want it to and then will eventually die and those who aren't interested in it won't have to see it anymore, what's so difficult about that.

As long as the creator groups all of his/her releases into a single topic, I see no problem with what he/she is doing.

Nether do I, as I said, I am neutral about the idea. This topic is mostly about addressing the idiots who think they can play moderator and say where everything goes.

I am agreeing with what destroyer is saying, people don't have to post in the UI edit topic, but if they've made decent UI's and made several of them then it would be a good idea to have them stand out above the crowd with their own topic. if you've just made something in your spare time that you think is pretty decent then it would be a good idea to put it in the UI edit topic.

I do get annoyed at people who intentionally don't post their UI edits in a group and make 5 topics in 10 minutes.

UI stands for User Interface, it's basically the stuff you see that generally doesn't move or isn't part of the map. Example of UI: the brick slots at the bottom of your screen, a compass in L4D, a speed gauge in a racing game.

After some thought, I'll have to disagree with the OP. I think the UI edit dumping area is actually a good idea. As said in the post, the topic would probably stay alive and it'd be easier to access exactly what you want. In fact, I think the forums should set up like RTB where theres a specific category for each add-on. Makes stuff easier to find.

Yeah, this is advertising. I wouldn't be surprised if the did it just to make you look bad. The topic is a good idea, but I don't think it's fair to spam ui edits saying "ur stupid post in OUR section idiot"

This is almost like how Pandan is threatening me to go through all the trouble to make a better Thunderbird model just to make my modeling skills look even worse.
