Hmm... Well what about other trivial data, such as join date, overall activity info, servers hosted, or the like? There should be some form of statistics.

I plan on grouping statistics into less specific groups, and generating the "stats" of the card from the groups. It's a trading card game, not a Blockland Background Check.

Well yes, but these are supposed to be like baseball cards, no? Baseball cards have a large number of statistics to make them more than a simple photo.

Examples:
Post Whore: Has a post average of over 8 posts per day.
Elder: Has a blockland key lower than 5,000 or registered on the forums before [somedate]
Experienced Player: Plays on at least 3 servers (that have this mod) a day for a week straight (the more you join per day, the more tolerance it has for skipping days, like if you go to 50 servers that have this mod a day for a week, then skip three days, you'll still have this type)
Rare: Plays on two or less servers with this mod a day for a month; or has a post average lower than or equal to 1 a day.

Could we use the old v8 one?

My problem with that scale is that 99% of playing cards would have their status at neutral. The other ones would be completely biased, because you may think someone is nowhere near notable but their status is. Also; what would define who is what rank? Post count doesn't make you legendary, play time still doesn't effect your status, the only real way I could possibly see that scale will work out would be if we initiated a vote for every single blockland player. I don't want to set up a vote for 21,000 (maybe more by now) players, do you? I don't think anyone even wants to vote for 21,000 players. My way uses only facts to put them into categories.

I was thinking more like Pokemon cards. The Pokemon is categorized into Fire, Water, Grass, Earth, Poison, Metal, Bug, Rock. Based on this and their form, they make a strong, weak, or neutral card. There are no direct statistics, however direct statistics were used to categorize them.

:O Kewl

Can anyone BETA test? If so, I would like to.

I think you should add like a shop mod to it so you can get ranks for your cards depending how much $B you have.

(etc. bronze, silver is $B100: down to bronze from silver, $B50: silver to gold is $B500: gold to platinum is $B1,000)

Ninja Edit: Your card should become the color your rank is starting at red.

Double Ninja Edit: If anyone can BETA test, I would like to.

Adding a money system to the entirety of BL? Isn't that what roblox did? Either way, it's way too big of a change and would require badspot's approval. This thing should stay server-sided. Oh, and what would hypothetically give you money?

Maybe some tasks or challenges approved by the admins of the server and when you finish a task you are at a brick that teleports you to the ringleaders room and gives you money.

What about admins who decide they're amazing enough to have a platinum/plutonium/kryptonite/antimatter/whatever card, and decide to award themselves 50 trillion dollars?

Beat me to it. By "admin" do you mean admins designed for the particular mod, or admins of a server? If it's of a server, then heck I would make my own server long enough to award myself unlimited money.

So how exactly would you collect the cards. Would you get a pack of five cards per week or per day or would you have to earn them?

NINJAEDIT: Also would you be able to trade them? Also, also how many would you start off with?

Any add-on that relies solely on the integrity of player-run servers is not going to work out very well.

You should make it so that you get different servers from different time zones so that more people will join the servers.

Also what happens if you are banned from the servers?

Yes, maybe you could get all the names off the RTB database?

This Sounds OK But Everyone Is Just Arguing About The "Nitty Gritty" Stuff. Ok It Might Be Glitchy, But Mabye At Least Stop Saying All Of The Problems, Cos If It's Perfect Badspot Will Like It, And That Ain't Good.
