Man I hated history classes, the world history classes at the beginning of high school were okay but when you get to like US history and have to learn every little detail it is so pointless. I consider knowing the basics about history valuable to your life-skills but getting into detail is just pointless and handicapped. If it were up to me there would just be 1 year of history where they teach you everything very broadly, just so you aren't completely history-handicapped. If history is your thing you can do advanced classes in college.

But look at it this way, how much of what you learn in school sticks with you really well after you're out? If they were to only teach you the basics, you might forget it all when you're long out of school. If they teach it in detail, the details won't stick with you, but learning those details will help the basics stick with you.

Oh gosh, that's not what I tink it is in the third hyroglyph, is it?
