I was playing it to kill aces to get extra colors for jets yesterday.
I started mission 13:Escort in my trusty SU-37 equipped with non-homing missiles and the QAAM Air-Air homing missile.As the recon plane flew towards gnome revine i was shooting radar-jamming balloons with missles and machine guns.When the recon plane made it to the area with the jammers, the timer set to 7:50 leaving me time to hunt the next ace.As enemy TND105s and F-14s attempted to fly past me to get to the recon plane, i shot 1 down and continued towards the enemy flying outside of their circle.Usually, aces were the planes with the pilot's last name on the boxes that surrond them telling you their planes.So when i took a closer look, the box surronding that F-14e said the name "Gunn".I knew it was going to be a tough dogfight, so i shot 2 QAAMs at him and went for the other planes.
And that's how i shot down Tom gunn.
