I am installing Macromedia 8, so it'll be awhile before I can join the fun.  Basically just post your first flash videos.

Learn to use Motion Tweens, learn to use Layers.

All my movies run at 30FPS but it publishes at 15FPS

I think if you double-click the "X fps" bit on the timeline it lets you change it. Or look around in Publish Settings.
