Should I buy fallout 3 GOTY?

I just finished the main story this morning and I was really disappointed when -------------------- at the end. I heard with one of the DLC's(broken steel I think) you get knocked out from the blast or whatever. Is getting GOTY worth it? My mom said I could get it for my birthday. My birthday it may 28th so.... I wanna know if I should get it before then. BTW.... this has been my first fallout 3/oblivion topic for a while so don't gripe about me posting this... just saying.

There was also this one guy at wal-mart who was game shopping with his mom, and the employee nor the customer knew what GOTY meant. So I told him and they bought it.
