Author Topic: Odd .exe file in my Local Settings\Application Data  (Read 3274 times)

Nothing special, just ekhnlq.dat and ekhnlq_nav.dat along with the .exe called, you'll never guess...

ekhnlq.exe :l

Ya know what? Iunno, I say don't mess with it.

My guess is that it's a virus that randomly names its self-created .exe file.  Delete it.  Especially if it's in your startup folder, like you said.  If you don't notice any kind of slowdown, file deletion, or normal "symptoms", it's most likely a keylogger.

I'll end the process, and if nothing bad happens I'll delete it I suppose

Doublepost; Ended process, nothing happened so I deleted it.

If anyone else has this file in their Local Settings\Application Data folder (bot are a hidden folder) don't hesitate to delete it as it seemingly has no rhyme or purpose
