yeah the company went bankrupt and pandemic got bought out so no one owns the copy right and anyone can make copy's and sell it so I hear

No, RCT is not free, you'd still have to buy it.
I'd recommend the Deluxe edition, just because of the extra stuff it gives you.

AoEII was awesome.
