The laser went through the portal - something that could not be done with Portal 1's physics. Also, the high quality of the work (the excellent writing, the smooth, natural animations, the detailed models, the clever level design) points to this being a professional creation. If this is a hoax or unprofessionally done, I applaud the masterful creator of this work of art.

And if you noticed, when the laser went in the machine, there were some awesome deploying animation for those stairs.
