5 would be too big in my opinion. Remember this is Blockland, having a gun penetrating through 5 bricks is just calling for trolls.

I guess shooting multiple raycasts over a short amount of time, every raycast breaking one brick would make a nice burn-through effect.

Well no. Actually I have no idea how it'll look in the end. I really miss some function like drawParticleLine(); or drawEmitterLine(); I could spawn tons of "explosions" that really just do nothing more than spawning particles but... no.

Hey by the way, I've noticed a problem:
The gun bullets go way too slow. And yes, I know you can't up the projectile speed any more without making it hitscan, but when I'm really close to someone I still have to compensate a lot if they're moving (i.e. a full body's width to the left/right). Maybe it's time to bring back hitscan... I know it was easier to die then but it was fun that way. With slow bullets, it's more about spraying in someone's general direction to hit them no matter how they move rather than taking precise aim.

With hitscan it's the same thing ...just worse.
People can just spam with any assault rifle at you and they will always hit you.

Still, with slow projectiles it's impossible to hit someone who's dodging WITHOUT doing that. With hitscan you can and have to aim more.

Hitscans will make every weapon , snipers included , overpowered.
sniping is overrated anyways if you ask me.

If it bugs you so much, ask Badspot to rise the projectile speed limit. I won't switch to raycasts once again.

Seriously. Just send him a PM or make a topic and name some good reasons for a raise of the limit. He's not going to ban you for that. The worst that will happen is that he ignores it.
