Author Topic: Gravity Cat's Add-On Dump - Particle_ItemSparkles released!  (Read 2320351 times)

It seems gravity has the neatest little tricks which make something just that much better.

Like this:
What exactly does this do.

Also, I know this might have been asked before, but where did you find the texture which you applied to your scope.
These "tricks" are rather basic methods. On the picture I just show how to align a texture. "Project from View (Bounds)" does what the name implies. It projects a texture from the current view onto selected faces and resizes the texture coordinates.

The glass texture is an old reflection texture I have. Can't remember where I got it from. I resized it and added transparency.

Ok. Well if you've seen my AWP when you're scoped in and walk, the crosshairs move.

Why?

Just tried it. Wow. I have no clue how that happens. Long ago I noticed that on my weapons, too. But they move just a little. Barely that you can even notice. I have no idea how you achieved that...

Another thing: Add a line to change the zoom back to 90, onUnMount for the scoped image.

Um, Holy crap?
was looking on wikipedia for ref pics and thats what I stumbled upon.
He moved the website!

EDIT: Gcat, your map is one of the best maps I've been on! 2 thumbs up!

No. A pistol is not a sniper rifle. If you want faster projectiles tell Badspot to incerease the speed limit.
No, no: I meant the other mod that was released on RTB, the '1911 Pistol, not the one in this pack.

And these posts mean?
One thing:
You know the '1911s that one guy made, with the doublespeed shots? Could you do that with these? Just out of curiosity...
I mean the projectile is twice as fast as normal, but it's not raycasting, so sniping would still be hard.
Normal speed is 100. Double speed means 200. That is as fast as the Truvelo.

Pistol =/= sniper rifle

so, increasing speed is the subject here?
I say make the raycasts equal the range it would have in real life, i.e. sniper rifle 1,000 meters = 10,000 studs.

What raycasts?

I thought you were going to implement an rtb pref that allowed one to switch between raycasts and projec...you aren't doing that, are you?

Guess.

well, THAT was a wakeup call. Guess I should be more alert.

I meant the whole pack, but now that you said the Truvelo is already that, I'm ok.

That would take another raycasting script for each weapon, which would take a while.
A LONG while.
And plus it would bloat the size of the file.

Plus, hitscan sucks :V
