Author Topic: Gravity Cat's Add-On Dump - Particle_ItemSparkles released!  (Read 2258737 times)

How about keybinds for players on a team to say things into the text like "Medic," "Reloading," "Enemy spotted," "Artillary ahead," etc, etc.
Would be a nice addition. And has already been made - more or less. Downside: your teammates may have the problem that they don't know where you are.

I guess... compass would be good. And maybe special icons that a "radio" item could set, so scouts could be useful for once. When you click, you get to choose what goes where you are aiming. It would show up on everyone's compass, as its own icon. Of course, the compass would become a required addon for this. The "radio" system would use a GUI. Binoculars could also come with the radio, so a radio would be on your back (like with the larger guns, when you're not holding them) when you have binoculars in inventory, and when you're holding them, you also have the receiver in your right hand. That would also work for the left click on binoculars. Right click would look through them, left would set a waypoint. That might not work well for modern warfare, though, because radios are way smaller...
Icons for:
-Enemy and friendly MG position (MG icon, red for enemy, green for friendly)
-Sniper (Scope icon)
-Artillery/turrets (Cannon icon)
-Enemy and friendly and neutral base (A box that's red for enemy, green for friendly, and gray for neutral)
-Key position (town, bridge, something that would be good to hold, ! icon)
-Aircraft base (Plane or propeller icon)
-Vehicle base (Jeep or tank icon)
-Target (something to destroy/attack, not capture, Ring target icon, y'know what I mean)
-... any more ideas?
Whaddaya think? Only "radios" could do this. Also, maybe a specific command tool for the commands, not just anyone, because no one wants a noob to order you around. "Get me a latte! FAST!" "Yes, sir...."
There would have to be a way to delete/refresh icons, as well.

How often do you want to change your post again? :P
And yes, would be cool, but would require changes to the compass (and my binoculars would get really useful). Or a map instead of a compass, which you unfold with a keybind, that shows all waypoints, markers, teammates (only) etc.
And of course that command ability would only get the teamleader.

Are you saying that the binoculars aren't MEANT to be useful?
<scoffs in disbelief>

Do want. I prefer these over T+T and they aren't even released yet.

-snip-
That would be useful, but would require ALOT of eventing.
remember, blockland is a sandbox game, nothing is pre-made.

can digital please make a dedicated server instead, then when you work on the add-ons he restarts and updates them? that way we can test them more.

Please release it when there are enough weapons ready!

You should release each weapon one By one.

You should release each weapon one By one.
No, that'd take too long. He should wait until they're all finished, then release them all at once.

I endorse this statement.

Well, at the moment they are only useful when the standard zoom function is disabled.

Being a modifiable sandbox game gives alot of opportunities. It would require alot of work, but would be possible.

Would be great. Let's just wait until he reads this :P

No and yes. And maybe in somde days I'll release a test-version.

Beta testing should only be given to people who know at least some scripting knowledge.

I'm not trying to get it because i'm not scripting master but the point of beta testing is to find glitches.

Ingame or in the script.

I'm not releasing it because of beta-testing reasons. Actually I found most bugs by my own, so there's basically no use for that. I might just release it to satisfy all the people who beg for it all the time...

I sure hope that this gets released before my internet goes away :/
