I am sure that this has already been pointed out a million times, but when you drop a weapon while in iron-sights, the weapon stays in your inventory able to shoot/reload until you decide to scroll to a different weapon.

This may be a little late but, you should make the weapon item models laying down on the ground instead of how they are at the moment. All it would take is a quick rotation of the model to change.
