Hotchkiss Mk1 mabye? Fires the .303 British. Would have probably around the same fire rate as the M249 with 30 - 40 damage.

The Lathi is an anti-tank rifle, not a machinegun. I don't know if I like the Kord and the XM312 seems to be okay.
