Problem: The CX-32 lags my game, does anybody know why possibly?
A model consists of polygons. The more polygons there are, the more the game has to calculate. The CX-32 has over 4200 polygons, which is a lot. Usually items and weapons have about 100 to maybe 500 or something.



Hundreds of shells were fired today (And are probably still fired), but only a handful actually did damage from what I've observed. I'm no expert but the firepower really needs to be improved.

I thought about adding a function to calculate the trajectory, which would greatly improve accuracy. It would work like this: When pressing some key the howitzer simulates the trajectory of a shell by "firing" an invisible projectile. When this projectile hits something the operators camera switches and shows the impact location for a couple of seconds.

I posted as requested. :)


Anyhow, i think an invisible projectile could be interesting.
On the other hand, learn to maths and it can be done more efficient.
And with the invisible projectile they can see if something is blocking the path of the shell...

I would like to see how thats done effectively, but it does sound nice

I find the howitzer to be effective as it is. with a loader and firer, it is plenty efficient. I was murdering with it untill the server went down.

After about two or three hours of hosting I incereased the damage and damage radius of the high explosive shells via console. Probably the damage radius of the cluster shells too. I can't remember >_>

Also, at what distance where you killing?

make it fire a tracer with a long trail life

then you can fire it at the area

it's fair cause people can evacuate before it hits, but then the shell damage might be big
light key could fire the tracer or something

At edge of visible range. The blockheads were shadows, I guess around 1km or whatever


You should host again same time tomorrow. I've forgotten how much fun your server is.
