I finally figured out how to extract Portal's music files from its game content cache.
Uh. It's not like they are hard to find. You just search in one of the songs like '4000 degrees kelvin' then trace that to where it is and you have the entire Portal soundtrack right in-front of you. I have the entire Portal soundtrack plus some other Portal music (Portal 2 Theme, Still Alive: Christmas, 8bit Still Alive, the still alive that plays on the radio when you first wake up and when you find it in certain levels and finally the audio from the Machinma 'Taste the Cake'.) They are all put in a custom album with cover art (the portal logo with the word portal in the middle).
No, I was playing because I wanted to replay a bit of Portal, maybe get a couple achievements, mainly for nostalgia's sake. That, and I want to finish Portal at least one or two more times before Portal 2 comes out in April. I heard the music I really like on one test chamber and remembered, "Oh yeah, I've been meaning to get that," so I did.
I've finished Portal three times. :3 Once on my laptop (lollaptopgaming yeah I know it didn't run the fastest but good enough to complete it) and twice on the xbox. I also have Portal 2 pre-ordered. :D
And nice wallpaper.
Yeah Portal is awesome.
I have a Portal T-Shirt, two Portal 2 T-Shirts, a companion cube, Portal on Xbox AND PC, I have the Portal 2 trailers and the entire Portal soundtrack and Portal sounds (the app) on my iPod and to top it off I am getting a Portal cake (or, my mum is 'trying' to make one) for my birthday.
Do I count as a Portal fan yet?
