Author Topic: Heartbeat  (Read 2500 times)

Basically, an ingame "stress" meter. A player who goes through alot of stress will be somewhat faster and weaker.
There would be events that change the amount of "stress". The value is shown by a heartbeat that goes faster as the player becomes more stressed.

i that this can be good for Rps

too much stress causes heart attack
just like in postal 2

EDIT: i read my post and thought it said portal 2

Heartbeat?

Would be interesting, but I'd prefer if people would stop asking for Blockland to be more realistic...

The faster your heart beats the more distorted things look?
It would be awesome if you were sneaking around and started getting shot at, your heartbeat would increase then you would have to cover and stuff would look a little funny.

This would be good for horror "games", right guys?

Lol why is "games" quoted? Anyways, not really, in a horror game your heartbeat would race all the time, thats the joy of them, I love the horror genre.

I would be happy to make this but I'd need a 'heartbeat' sound.

I would make it beat at a usual 1bt/3secs. It would come with an event that could set the heartbeat speed either until it is changed again or until a certain amount of time is elapsed. When damaged, a player's heartbeat would also increase. When the heartbeat exceeds 1bt/300ms, the player would die.

Use printer fire sound, it sounds good. Or brick shift.

Because in the sense of "game", it would actually be more of a build, not a stand-alone game.

This might be possible...
