Author Topic: The Best Game Ever- nominations.  (Read 11032 times)

Don't bunch MMORPG and regular RPG together. Hell, don't even put JRPG and WRPG in the same category, they all play very differently. MMOs tend to have no story, JRPGs tend to lean towards turn-based combat, and WRPGs tend to be more action RPGs
Instead of labeling them by region, why not call it:
MMORPG, Strategy RPG (turn-based), Action RPG
Like every normal person does.

Lol? Blockland wasn't Indie when RTB Came out, :P

and Indie is BETA TESTED BY ONE
You're an idiot.

I'm seriously the only one who voted for Darwinia?
We aren't voting yet.

Add LOZ OOT to the original post or I will kill you

I thought they were all the same game.

I thought they were all the same game.
different content
plus oblivion has a better storyline

Action RPG: Monster Hunter Series, Demon's Souls
Action: Armored Core 4/for Answer (Someone listed, but I'll say it again for it to be in list)

Most of the RPG's this decade are flat-out boring, I'd rather read literature to get a good story and character development.

I'll update the list in a bit.

Also no zombie/horror category because most games in that category could either be a shooter or an adventure.

Also, I would have to drop a category or risk loving up the bracket. Powers of 2 work best for this kind of thing.

Indie

Audiosurf
Foreign legion buckets of blood
tank universal

lolwut

You cant compare RPG and MMORPG they are 2 very different things. But for MMORPG I would have to say WoW hands down, it might not be the first but it is definitely one of the best.
You level up in MW2 and gain exp for killing people. Pretty much an MMO.

I didn't like DOOM.

Majority of online games is an MMO, doesn't need an experience feature to do it.

For Strategy/RTS, put down WarcraftIII

Ahem:
RPG: Mass Effect
Handheld: Pokemon
Racing: Star Wars Episode I: Racer
Strategy: Age of Empires
Command and Conquer: Red Alert 2

FPS: Add Modern Warfare 2
Adventure: Add Uncharted 2. It's awesome; it plays like a loving movie.
