Anyone who supports this law is unaware of two things: whether you enforce border laws or not, illegal immigrants will keep coming as long as people will hire them. There needs to be a crackdown on employers. They come here for a better life, not hostile takeovers of jobs.

The other thing people are unaware of is that this law encourages racial profiling. This is a simple fact. If you give officers the right to stop people on the street under suspicion for being illegal, they're only going to stop Latinos. And for people who hate illegal immigrants in general: they have no major negative impacts. They are not the law breakers (except immigration); the drug lords smuggling drugs into the country are. And of course the drug lords only exist because drugs are illegal in the first place.
