wat

they used thier layzarz to superheat the surfaces of planets, thus "glassing" them. It's an eridacation/elimination thing they do.

I'm an uber Halo fanboy and have read all the book, it's a bit moar complicated than that. Huehuehuehuehuehue.

Too bad, because beta codes for the reach beta don't exist.
You don't really know what you're talking about, do you?

does shadow still have odst :o

there are no Beta Codes. You download the Beta off of Halo 3: ODST's extras section.

There were beta codes to get into the beta 5 days earlier then everybody else, they were used for the friends/ family portion of it.
Anyone playing right now?

Add xCRIMSONwaspx to your friends if you are.

Here's what I think of it (this is from the other thread about it)

In the first (literally 3) seconds I played, I was teamkilled. I then jumped around figuring out the buttons, and was sniped and then teabagged.

Here's a brief rundown of the classes from the "Loadout" system:

Scout: You run fast. That's about it.

Stalker: You can turn invisible (more like translucent, what's the point of being invisible if people can still see you? this blows my mind)

Airborne: You have a jetpack. Clearly people are going to use this class the most because the others are useless.

I saved the worst class for last.

Guard: You get this ability where you pound your fist into the ground (doing no damage) and you cannot move, but you are surrounded by a strong blue shield. During this time, enemies can go ahead and stop shooting at you while you are trapped trying to plan out your next move. After the effect expires, a small shockwave is emitted from you, and you regain control. The entire effect lasts about 5 seconds, in which enemies can stop firing at you, back up, wait until you're vulnerable and then shoot you some more.

TL;DR I wasn't impressed at all, Guard's ability sucks.

Yes, I did give it a fair chance, but it's really just every other Halo with flashy new weapons and abilities.

Really now?

but it's really just every other Halo with flashy new weapons and abilities.
You are a genius. You just discovered the textbook definition of a sequel.

Submit it to bungie and they may do something about it. It IS a BETA test after all.

Really now?

I played it for a good 2 hours or so, but I'm just saying that's what happened in the first 3 seconds.

You just suck at guard

Scout: You run fast. That's about it.
And everyone else can't? That sounds about right

Stalker: You can turn invisible (more like translucent, what's the point of being invisible if people can still see you? this blows my mind)
You aren't supposed to be completely and totally invisible because that would be incredibly cheap.

Airborne: You have a jetpack. Clearly people are going to use this class the most because the others are useless.
From what I hear, the jetpack is mainly good for getting up to advantageous spots quicker. Not to make like Jango Fett and rain death from the skies.

*cough* *cough*
Maybe you suck at the game and try to use it while fighting one-on-one in which case it would be useless.

I don't understand how people can snipe invisible people while they're on the run.

That last part sounds like fun.

I don't understand what it's for, does it reflect fire or damage the shooter or something? It seems pretty useless to me (and I don't care to watch those videos, but if they explain it, tell me that please).
