I rented this game the other day and so far I'm really liking it.
It's based off of some book, but anyway it's about Russia in the year 2033 after a post-apocalyptic war. The land is covered with gas and toxins so people have taken refuge in subways. There are also monsters, that I'm guessing are the way they are because of radiation.
The game has a really good sense of survival and desperation because you're constantly running low on ammo, which is also the form of currency in the subway stations. You can use bullets to buy new weapons, weapon upgrades, and better or worse bullets.
Sometimes you have to go on the surface and wear a gas mask and keep track of how many filters you have, and your mask can even get damaged and cracked which causes for a really annoying gash all the way across your screen.
The human enemy AIs in the game are extremely stupid and annoying in the game.
I don't recommend buying it, but it's definitely worth a rent.

Post apocalypse, eh?
Wasteland
Fallout 1/2/3
STALKER

Never heard of that theme before.

Post apocalypse, eh?
Wasteland
Fallout 1/2/3
My brother sayed the same thing.

It's made by some ex-employees of GSC Games. (The guys who did STALKER)

And INB4 Fallout 3 copy.

I know the post-apocalyptic idea is getting very old in games, but this is very different from most.
