Swim or run faster? Don't go afk without logging out? There is no penalty for logging out, I don't know why people won't take the extra 10 seconds for security. I have no sympathy for people going afk in-game, and I've smacked them around a bit on occasion as well.

If you were not afk, I can't give you any more advice other then run fast, turn the sound up so you can hear dynamite, and keep your eyes on the ground. Badspot talked about adding dynamite use in town as crime, but I guess it was never added.
