BFBC2: What the Hell? Degrading?

After playing a match in BFBC2, I quit. I got back on the next day, and selected "Multiplayer." It said that, "Because of your recent form, your skill level has degraded from 156 - 0." What does this mean, why did it happen?

Where you cheating? Where you dominating the game? People probably reported you or something and they decided to fine you.

I've never heard of this problem on the PC version. We use ELO skill, basically the more you play, the higher it goes.... requires a completion of a match to record scores though.

Yeah, I think that it just said that because you quit mid-round and it was your first game.

Does it actually take into consideration the fact that you can't exit matches in between rounds?(at least on the 360 version you can't, or I'm just missing it)

i dont know how the console versions work compared to the PC. ive looked into the issue before, and dont look like pc players have as bad problems with this.
and im pretty sure it applies to finishing the round, not the entire match.

wish i could give numbers, but its only come up with people that leave mid-game excessively

That's the thing I've found quite strange, I've only left games at the very start of the match before spawning, since it's the only option. I've probably got this message about 10 times.

At least it's just a rating, and doesn't really do much.

Call of Duty does the same but even worse thing dumbass. The 4-up ones atleast.

some hardcore players may not like it, but it can hardly ruin your account i guess.
