MW2 has a better feel

Bc2 plays alot like Mw2 but provides more freedom, team work, and room for strategy. The maps are beautiful and much larger than Mw2's. Mw2 does have it's moments, but I find it playing more like Counter-Strike. With the small levels and easy killing.
Mw2 is literaly a pick up and play game, whereas Bc2 has a fairly steep learning curve. So I suggest Bc2 personally.

Edit:
I forgot to mention that Mw2 (PC) does not provide dedicated servers, which to some may find very frustrating because of server relocating and frequently finding yourself back in a lobby alone. It's not that big of a deal to me but it's nice to be aware of that.

I'm asking :P
I'll be getting it for PC. I can't stand FPS on controllers.

My experience with MW2 (only played it a couple times):

I got the weekend trial for MW2. Started up a game, and lobby waited for the lobby to fill up. It looked pretty nice and all so far. Got in-game, chose a class, was pretty cool and stuff. Spawned in this cool looking map. It ran pretty damn smoothly. After getting in-game and finding people to shoot, I didn't really have to find them. Turn one corner, 3 guys. Behind you, 2. To your left 1. People were everywhere. I was wondering why, so I explored the map. The map was extremely tiny. There's always a guy some where near you. Probably at least a couple meters length. I run around and shoot/kill someone, I get shot/killed. Respawn, repeat. (Respawns are instant too.) This goes on for the rest of the round, until someone gets the helicopter and spawn kills everyone. A lot of the times, I got tired of my selected class, so I wanted to choose another. I didn't know how so I asked around. People said you have to wait until the end of the round. That was just stupid.

So basically, MW2 Multiplayer is just a small little area where a bunch of hectic soldiers are trapped and run around shoot, respawn, repeat. A basic shoot respawn thing.

My experience with BFBC2:

I started up the game and it had a pretty cool UI. Went to multiplayer and saw that you can select servers. Not just host a lobby and wait for people or randomly join a lobby. Joined a server and started playing. Had a nice class selection thing going on. You can change weapons and perks while in-game, instead of having only to be able to in the lobby. I could select spawn points, join squads and spawn on squad team-mates. It was pretty damn nice. The maps were big, and gave us plenty of space even for a 32 player server. It had cool  game-modes like destroy the m-coms, conquer, squad deathmatch, etc. Instead of just running around the corner to shoot a guy that's a couple meters away, you have to find the enemies. Use strategies if you want, use teamwork. It had lots of cool features: defibs (revive teammates), mortar, vehicle repair, etc. When you're fighting people it gets pretty damn intense sometimes. It feels very realistic a lot of the time for me. Hiding under cover behind a hill, bullets flying everywhere from above the hill. Trees getting mowed down from gun fire, teammates screaming, explosions, etc. I loved it.

BFBC2, for me, is not just a deathmatch in a small pen. It's a large scale war of up to 32 players (trust me, sometimes it feels like it's even double, or triple that amount of people.), or a deathmatch with 4 friends as your only teammates. You can apply strategies if you want. You don't just run around a corner to get someone. You gotta find them. Devise a plan of how to capture that flag or destroy that M-COM. Run through gun fire, falling trees and exploding buildings to save someone. I loved it.

Although if you want a really nice large scale war game, you should get BF2. Just huge huge huge maps on 64 player servers.

You can change. But everything else you said was true :(

MW2: Get assraped by people who either have akimbo shottys/machine pistols, or people who are loving epic with sniper rifles, or people who aimbot or hack in some other way. Lots of class setups you can make, a good story line, good-ish weapons that are rather generic, stupid ass perks and killstreaks. There are a lot of different game modes, but TDM is the most popular. Riot shields are really annoying too, yet funny in a way. MW2's connection can be really stuffty at times.
There are lots of weapon attachments for your guns, including the Thermal scope, Heartbeat sensor, Red dot and Holographic sights, Silencers, Noobtubes (Gun mounted grenade launchers,) ACOG scopes, with some guns you can get Akimbo weapons, Full Metal Jacket (Increased entry(Yes, I know, you perv.))
The spawn system in MW2 is loving stuff. In the map rust, you can spawn loving INSIDE people. in a FFA match you can spawn inside your enemies. Other times you'll spawn right out in the open in the line of sight of a sniper.

BFBC2: Only four classes, a long and challenging story, lots of different online game modes, lots of maps, you can fly helicopters or drive tanks or APCs or UAVs or other stuff. Also an ATV. You can destroy buildings. (Explosions! :D) The shooting is hard to get a hang of, or maybe thats just me because I play MW2 a lot more than I play BFBC2. BC2's internet connection is rather good, I've never experienced a single laggy game. There are a lot of random weapons that are quite a bit different than MW2's. The class system works like this: There are four classes, Assault, Engineer, Recon, and Medic.

Assault: Has an Assault rifle, Ammo packs to give to your buddies, Sidearm is a pistol (Same with all classes, Besides the Engineer) I'm probably forgetting something, but yeah. I also think you can get a shotgun, but I'm not entirely sure.

Engineer: You have a small Submachine gun, an Impact wrench thingy to heal vehicles with, an RPG to shoot vehicles with too.

Recon: "I'm a sniper!" Yes, you do have a sniper rifle, but no you are not entirely a sniper. You have C4 that you can use to blow up vehicles. Motion sensor bomb thingys you can unlock after a while that kill people. Oboy, and other stuff. Yes you do have a pistol for your sidearm.

Medic: Gigantic ass kicking LMG. You also have med packs to throw on the ground for your buddies. You have a pistol for your sidearm, I think. I'm not entirely sure what else you have as a medic, but yeah.

You have a respawn time in BFBC2. You don't respawn right away and go kill the cigarettet who killed you. The more you play as one class, the more stuff you unlock for that class. No, your bullets do not hit your target instantaneously, and yes they start to fall with gravity.

tl;dr: I recommend BFBC2.

BFBC2 is more Squad and Team based.

MW2 is mostly Team/Solo.

I personally don't really like the BC2 MP.

But that might be because I run it at 10 FPS.
System specs?

Thanks to everyone, so far it sounds like BFBC2 is the best option. I'll see if anyone else has opinions.

System specs?

i run it just fine on lowest graphics. Pretty smoothly actually.

laptop:

4GB RAM
intel core 2 duo 2.53ghz
geforce 9600M GS
2 GB VRAM (says 1 on the label, but says 2 in the system specs in windows)

I found that BC2 campaign got boring, FAST, same with the first 1.

Mw2, Far better campaign, and better feel.

BC2, Boring campaign, but great online, and very very well made.

Would you be able to do a http://cyri.systemrequirementslab.com/CYRI/ for me so I can compare?
Also, laptopololol :P

I liked the campaign in MW2 more, but the multiplayer is so much better in BC2. I personally like BC2 more.

i got in between min. and req. A little more to the min.

MrCookie, I still got your dogtag 2-3 times after you got mine.

Anyways, BFBC2 (I have been playing Battlefield since 1942 and Vietnam) is basically EA's answer to MW2, but uses only half of the original 64 players it used to support in "Battlefield 2" and "Battlefield 2142" (Both of which I own and played often). EA wanted to retake the PC FPS Multiplayer throne after CoD4:MW topped charts 2-3 years after BF2.

With that little history aside...

BFBC2 is more of the "war" genre than MW2 in which you coordinate attacks, defend positions, taking the objectives, or simply knowing how to eliminate the team with team effort put into it. MW2 is another clone of Counter-Strike with faster gameplay, more weapons, smoother graphics, and etc. The campaigns for the two sequel games FAIL in my eyes, but I still enjoy annihilating people and killing players in the most ridiculous ways possible.

Also, I get more rush of excitement in BC2 as I go and blow up vehicles without the enemy knowing what happened, spotting enemies and killing them all before someone finds out, and running into a hot spot to set the charge on the MCOM (my best skill is setting these off frequently).

And that reminds me, I uploaded a new video today for BFBC2.

The MW2 story was good but the campaign itself was lacking. It was pretty much fight a giant wave of 50 enemies but they wear different costumes in each level.
