A hint I learned the hard way:
If something is old and can't connect to anything new, make something new that can connect to it on it's own.
If you don't know what this means:
Try to make it work somehow, even if it's 'not possible'. I know what I'm about to say is about gaming systems, but it works for pretty much everything:
I have an NES. I'm good at making cool things for gaming systems. I buy a PS3. I get mad because there's a NES game I really like and want to put it in my PS3 but it won't work. I copy everything from that game, change it up, and it is now a PS3 Game that fits in. If you don't get THIS, figure out. This post would go forever if I kept telling you.
